We Found the World's 4 Best Playgrounds
And they're all within an hour drive from one another đ€Ż

Happy Friday eve! Weâre starting to see the first glimmers of spring with temperatures that peaked in the 50s this week (!!), so please donât mind me venturing right into playground territory. Weâre divulging what we believe to be the best playgrounds in the world. Certainly the best along our world-tour route, that is. And the most shocking part, theyâre all within an hour drive from one another. The scenery is epic. And our favorite serves drinks too. #priorities

Bort Alpine Playground
Switzerlandâs Amazing Alpine Playgrounds
Best playgrounds in the world? We vote yes.
Youâll find them all in Switzerland. Here are our four favorites after spending two weeks in the Swiss Alps with our familyâincluding a baby and toddler.
đ Bort Alpine Playground, Grindelwald
đ Alpine Herdsmanâs Playground, Mannlichen
đ Flower Park, Murren
đ Staubbach Falls Playground, Lauterbrunnen
AND theyâre all within an hourâs drive. But note that doesnât include the funicular or cable car you might be required to take to get to them!
Fancy a bite?
Youâll find eats and drinks at both the Alpine Herdsmanâs Playground as well as Murrenâs Flower Park (our preference for lunch!), where youâll find at the Allmendhubel Observation deck, reached by cable car. Because while the playground takes the cake (even on a cloudy day!), thereâs a restaurant with an expansive outdoor deck right beside it, serving up cold brews and drinks, as well as lovely charcuterie platters.
Did we partake? Absolutely. (Highchairs available, naturally.) Once youâve had a bite to eat, you can join your kids to take a ride on the zip line, play in the tiny cheese shop featuring big cheese-wheel cushions, or follow your gut in the flower labyrinth. Not far, youâll also find a child-centric Childrenâs Adventure Trail, which winds further down the mountain and offers kid-friendly activities along the way.
Want to see more? Get a peek at our quick video reel here, as well a look at our Flower Park luncheon!
The only place in the world that comes second to Switzerlandâs playground culture? New Zealand. But more on that later. đ
